2/ Worldcoin is quite likely the single most misunderstood project in all of crypto (and that’s saying something). At first glance, it appears to be a noxious combination of hardware, biometrics, crypto and AI.

7/ The project’s contributors have done incredible work solving hard problems in both the hardware and software realms

but, make no mistake, the problem that Worldcoin is tackling with World ID is a difficult one and it’s important that we get this right—so take a spin through the documentation or code, ask your questions and express your concern or criticism

まとめ

AIやボットが情報を発信し始め、あたかもエコシステムを形成するような世界が間近に迫ってきています。そんな中で虹彩というバイオメトリクスを利用してヒューマンという証明をしてくれる技術は非常に興味深いです。

銀行口座を作るのが難しい国の人でも難しいKYCをすることもなく経済活動を可能とする滑らかな世界を実現させようとしていますし、ファウンダーがサム・アルトマンというOpenAI社の最高経営責任者っていうのがとてもおもしろいですよね。

ちなみに中国ではすでに生体認証の導入はかなり進んでいるらしく実は日本は後進国にあたります。確かにバイオメトリクスはかなり高い精度で人を認識できますのでプライバシー問題、ディストピアな世界を想像してしまいますよね。私もじゃかん抵抗があります。

今後このworldcoinがどうなっていくか非常に楽しみです。今後も経緯を見ていきたいと思います。
